Organized by
Organised in parallel with the Swiss Young Masters 2024 by the Wallis Chess Union, the Tournoi Espoirs, a closed tournament upon invitation, brought together 8 talented young players from French-speaking Switzerland, with an ELO limited to 2000 and aged under 25 : 5 young players from Valais and 3 other young players from the cantons of Vaud, Fribourg and Neuchâtel. They competed in 7 rounds. The tournament was won by Colin Moesching (Chess club Monthey), number 6 on the starting list, ahead of Roman Thkoruk (CE Neuchâtel). Joint 3rd place on the podium went to Noé Python (CE Payerne), Alexan Floure (CE Martigny) and Max Chappaz (CEAV Sierre).
